Welcome from CEO, Scott Sanner

It’s hard to believe summer is over – I hope you all had a chance to take some time off to spend with friends and family.

We’ve been busy at Millennia – welcoming new employees, onboarding new clients, continuing to enhance our products and services, and most recently, officially opening our new, state-of-the-art Command Center in Rocky Mount, North Carolina. This new office demonstrates our commitment to employees, clients, patients, and our community.

In this issue, I am excited to share a few of the things Millennia has rolled out to make our solutions even better for your organization and your patients. We are excited to announce Millennia DataArc and we’re ready to help clients navigate the changes brought about by Texas Senate Bill 490. And don’t forget to check out our Recommended Reads for some great industry insights.

New on the Millennia Platform Unlocking Data Excellence:
Introducing DataArc

We are committed to continuously enhancing our platforms to better support your needs and drive the efficiency of your patient payment journey. We are excited to introduce DataArc, our latest innovation designed to streamline processing of client’s Healthcare Information System (HIS) data in our Recover platform. DataArc will simplify this process and provide a robust solution to better support your growth and evolving needs.

Faster Implementations

DataArc reduces the time and effort required for implementing new locations. With codeless pipeline creation and automated data processing, you can onboard new facilities seamlessly and efficiently. This means you can start increasing your revenue more quickly.

Data Accuracy

Data accuracy is paramount in healthcare operations. DataArc employs automated self-healing data pipelines with logging and alerts to ensure that the information journey from your HIS to our Recover platform is precise and reliable. Automated data reconciliation adds another layer to maintain data integrity and quality.

Designed for Configurability

We understand that every healthcare organization has unique needs and workflows. DataArc is highly configurable, so we can tailor it to your specific HIS needs. That means custom data cleanup, unique transformations, and fixing ‘dirty’ data with ease. Need to apply custom lookups, tweak CPT descriptions, or make patient-friendly updates to location names and transaction descriptions? DataArc’s got you covered and then some. This flexibility ensures DataArc aligns perfectly with your Revenue Cycle operations.

HIS agnostic Unified data model

Whether you’re navigating the challenges of managing data across multiple systems or transitioning between different HISs, one thing’s clear: data standardization is the key. With DataArc, we transform complexity into simplicity by harmonizing all your HIS data into one unified, standard model. The result – your data flows effortlessly from disparate data sources into a single platform, paving the way for seamless analysis and reporting.

Solution Spotlight:
Itemized Statements and Texas Senate Bill 490

Texas Senate Bill 490 (SB 490), which went into effect on September 1, 2023, was introduced to ensure that patients have a clear and comprehensive understanding of their healthcare expenses. This legislation emphasizes the importance of transparent billing, enabling patients to review, and understand the details of their medical charges.

SB 490 requires healthcare providers to offer patients a clear and itemized bill detailing the costs of each service and supply provided within 30 days of receiving payment from a third party. Patients can also request an itemized bill at any time.

Millennia is well-equipped to assist our clients in navigating the changes brought about by SB 490. We understand the importance of transparent and clear billing in the healthcare industry. If you require solutions to ensure compliance with this new legislation, Millennia is fully capable of providing your patients and guarantors with itemized bills that are easy to understand.
